[全文] Project Muse项目成立于1995年，旨在传播高质量的艺术、人文和社会科学领域的学术知识。截止2013年1月，Project Muse收录近200家出版社的近550种期刊，并且数量不断增长。 Project Muse覆盖主要学科领域有：区域/国家研究、人类学、艺术、西方古典文化、经济、教育、电影戏剧和表演艺术、语言学、法律、文学、图书馆学及出版、医学与健康、数学、音乐、哲学、政治和政策研究、历史、国际关系、科学、社会学、心理学、宗教等。其中在区域/国家研究、文学、历史、政治、政策研究上尤为突出。 Project MUSE is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from scholarly publishers. MUSE began in 1993 as a pioneering joint project of the Johns Hopkins University Press and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library at JHU. Grants from the Mellon Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities allowed MUSE to go live with JHU Press journals in 1995. Journals from other publishers were first incorporated in 2000, with additional university press and scholarly society publishers joining in each subsequent year.
